e-portfolio is a learning tool, a pedagogy, that supports deep self-reflection✨ and an integration of knowledge and learning through curated demonstration and sharing of oneself in words and images.
Learning by doing, a constructivist pedagogy popularized by the philosopher John Dewey, aligns with the nature of occupational therapy which believes that health & well-being can be impacted and enriched by our doing, being, belonging with other people, environments, and lived experiences.
My hope is to have a personal experience the e-portfolio process and to bring this pedagogy to my OT students to so they may grow and learn from truly authentic self-reflection on their life experiences in order to gain new perspective and a beautiful presentation of their personal professional story
